These terms are an agreement between you and To My Person (“we”) about using To My Person. By writing, sealing, or pinning a letter, or creating an account, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy page.

1. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country). If you're under 18, have a parent or guardian's permission.

2. Your letters are yours

You keep ownership of everything you write. So we can run the service, you give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and display your letters in the ways you choose: showing wall letters publicly (including in share images and on pages for a name or category), and showing sealed letters to people who have the link. This license ends when you delete the letter, except for copies someone else already saved or shared.

You're responsible for what you write and for who you give a sealed link to.

3. Be kind — the rules

Don't use To My Person to:

• harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate anyone, or encourage self-harm;
• contact someone who has asked you not to contact them, or get around a court order;
• post hate speech, or sexual content involving minors (which we report to authorities);
• share someone else's private information on the wall (addresses, phone numbers, full names with identifying details);
• impersonate someone, or mislead people about who wrote a letter;
• spam, advertise, scrape, overload, or break the service or its security;
• do anything illegal, or infringe someone else's rights.

4. Moderation

We may remove any wall letter, disable any sealed link, or block access for anyone who breaks these rules or puts others at risk — sometimes automatically (for example, after several reports), and without notice. Anyone can report a letter with the “Report” link on it.

5. Sealed letters and delivery

• Anyone with a sealed letter's link can open it once its date arrives, so share it carefully.
• You can take a sealed letter back from your drawer, but not after someone has already read or copied it.
• We deliver future-me letters and reminders on a best-effort basis. Email can be delayed, filtered as spam, or fail; please don't rely on To My Person for anything time-critical.

6. Not a crisis service

To My Person is a place to write. It isn't therapy, medical care, or emergency help. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services, or see support resources.

7. Your account

Keep your password safe. A drawer without an email lives only in your browser — if you clear your cookies, we can't recover it. You can delete your drawer at any time from Settings.

8. The service is provided “as is”

We work hard to keep To My Person running and your letters safe, but we provide it “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We may change or stop parts of the service; if we ever shut it down, we'll give reasonable notice so you can download your letters.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of To My Person. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last 12 months or US$50. To My Person is currently free. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll change the date above. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
